A low-sodium diet doesn’t have to mean low flavor! Using garlic, low-sodium broth, onions, and pepper, this simple rice dish is packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups brown rice
- 4 cups no-salt-added chicken broth
- 4 Tbsp. sliced green onions
- ½ tsp. pepper
Directions
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté until golden (1-2 minutes).
- Stir in rice and broth and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer until liquid is absorbed (40-45 minutes).
- Top with green onion and pepper to serve.
